Guests enjoying the Fudge at La Pharmacy

Middlesbrough was dressed up for one week of fashion with lots of events, shows and displays around the town as part of Middlesbrough Fashion Week, and Fudge Fancies was there to help dress up and celebrate!

I had a fantastic time being involved in Middlesbrough fashion week, and I was really excited about been involved. When I first got approached about being involved, i started thinking about what I could make for the weeks events. The results – Champagne fudge truffles and special Fudge for Fashion Week. The special fudge included the Fashion Week logo, which took a lot of patience and hard work to get it right.

Each one of these Fudge For Fashion Week took 3 hours from start to finish. The making of the fudge was the easy part, however hand painting the fudge with food colouring took the longest – up to 2 ½ hours to paint each one! However hard work paid off and, hey presto – the finished product.

The Special Events

Fudge ready to go for the lucky people at the House of Fraiser Show

The two main events in the week, Fudge Fancies was there providing some sweet treats to many faces of Middlesbrough and fashion. The first event at House of Fraiser went really well with an impressive amount of fudge on display. I was extremely pleased with the display, and everyone seemed to enjoy the fudge.

The second event was at one of Middlesbrough leading venues, La Pharmacy. This has got to be one of the best events that Fudge Fancies has attended in a long while. and for this particular evening I wanted to make something a little different and the champagne truffles seemed just the solution! Pink champagne mixed with my fudge recipe then hand dipped in white chocolate sprinkled with pink sugar crystals. Needless to say these went down well on the evening.

I really enjoyed the week and was pleased to be apart of it. I met some fantastic people at this event including local fashion designer Kate Fernley and look forward to some possible collaboration between us both in the future! Check out the photos from the events below!
