One Door Closes, Another Opens

Posted by Adam on June 13, 2011

As the doors close on Fudge Fancies store in the Corner Emporium in Middlesbrough, its time to reflect on whats been a roller-coaster 6th months, of which I’ve enjoyed every minute.

We opened the Corner Emporium store one week before Christmas where I was thrown straight in at the deep end with the Christmas rush. That particular week I made and sold over 1000 fancies, and had to work a few night shifts to keep up with demand!

The new year  was a little more quieter, which give me chance to experiment making and designing my new range of Gourmet Fudge Cakes, which went down a storm! The new range included of cakes included Tiramisu, Eton Mess, Triple Chocolate, Trifle, Turkish Delight, Victoria Fudge Cake which were all brilliant sellers. I have a lot more to add to my cake range the ideas are endless.

February bought Valentine’s Day, and for this I experimented with Fudge Fancy Truffles which were another big seller with lovers, and fudge lovers alike! The next big event was Easter, where I came up with a Fudge Fancy that was like a birds nest. This went down well with the kids and some of the adults too.

I have had some brilliant times and it’s been a fantastic experience for me to test trade my business. Thanks to Middlesbrough Council for the opportunity in the Corner Emporium and many others for their support.

So what next for Fudge Fancies now the shop has closed, that would be telling but the doors are already starting to open? Keep an eye open on our website and our Facebook and Twitter feeds for the latest information about Fudge Fancies.
